DR. CHRISTOPHER T. CHIA

Dr. Christopher T. Chia is a fellowship-trained aesthetic plastic surgeon in Manhattan, New York City. His practice focuses on aesthetic surgery, specializing in surgery of the face, breast, and body. He has special interest in liposuction/body contouring, for which he utilizes the latest, most effective techniques available. In addition, he has additional experience in facial rejuvenation, nasal reshaping and breast surgery.

Dr. Chia is certified by both the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery and is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Medical Society of the State of New York. As former Program Director of the Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Fellowship at the Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital, he was involved in teaching and continues to teach aesthetic surgery to future leaders in plastic surgery.

He actively trains other physicians in SmartLipo – the new liposuction procedure using lasers. He believes laser-assisted liposuction is at the leading edge of surgical technology and ensures patients many advantages such as excess fat removal and skin enhancement with minimal scarring and downtime while avoiding traditional anesthesia. He is among the top SmartLipo practitioners who have carried out the maximum number of SmartLipo procedures in New York City. Currently, Dr Chia serves as the Surgical Director of Park Avenue Smart Lipo™, a certified SmartLipo training facility in New York City where other physicians come to learn the technique.

Dr. Chia takes great pride in providing personalized care targeted at meeting the individual needs of patients. He is also active in teaching, and continues to participate in conferences and has published numerous articles pertaining to current issues in plastic surgery.
