  • Lipomas: Lipomas are benign tumors resulting from the growth of fat cells under the skin. Lipoma removal is a specific surgery used to excise fatty tumors and it can be performed through liposuction.
  • Gynecomastia: This refers to oversized male breasts. Liposuction treatment helps men achieve a manly appearance by removing the surplus fat and tightening the skin.
  • Lipodystrophy syndrome: This condition causes fat deposits accumulation in certain parts of the body and total or partial absence of fat in others. Liposuction surgery helps to resolve the condition with more natural body fat distribution.

Liposuction cannot treat obesity, but it can treat the after-effects of gastric band or gastric bypass procedures performed on morbidly obese individuals, which causes them to lose up to 40% of their BMI. Liposuction can also help with removing this excess skin.
